What residents are entitled to expect, and the shortest route to someone who can act.
Rights
Bill of Rights and Responsibilities
St. Anne publishes a Patient Bill of Rights and Responsibilities that applies to residents of the home and to people using our outpatient services. It covers respectful care, participation in care decisions, privacy of personal health information, and the right to raise a concern without fear of consequence.
Our guiding principles put people first and commit the organisation to transparency and accountability — these are the standards residents can hold us to.

Raising a concern
Three steps, in order
1. Start with the unit
Most concerns are resolved fastest by speaking with the nurse on the resident's unit the same day.
2. Director of Care
If it is unresolved, or involves care planning, contact the Director of Care.
olivia.boudreau@nshealth.ca3. Chief Executive Officer
Unresolved or serious matters go to the CEO, who reports to the volunteer Board of Directors.
