Two standing groups give residents and families a direct say in how the home is run.
Two councils
Resident Council
Residents meet with support from the Recreation Director to raise ideas and concerns about daily life — meals, activities, routines and the environment. Items that need action are brought to the Director of Care and, when needed, to the Board.
Family Council
Family members and designated caregivers meet to support each other, learn how the home works, and give collective feedback to management. St. Anne publishes a Family Council Handbook explaining the council's role and how to start or join one.

Meeting dates for both councils are set locally and are not published online. Ask reception at 902-226-2826 for the next meeting, or leave your name to be added to the invitation list.
Being heard
How feedback reaches decisions
Concerns raised at council are recorded and followed up by management. Residents and families can always go directly to the Director of Care or the CEO instead — a council is an addition to that path, never a replacement for it.
St. Anne also runs resident and family surveys, and the analysis is reported through the Centre's quality management process.
